Brief Review of Whitechapel Exhibitions

Enjoyed the John Stezaker exhibition. I didn't even get bored wandering around aimlessly looking at rows of images. Some of them were eerily similar to my recent pieces. I'm hoping he will influence a new body of work for me. Bethan Huws, however, was a big disappointment. I expected her boat piece to be massive; taking up a whole room. In actual fact I walked past the whole thing a few times without even noticing it at all. How did I manage this? Because the boat was about the size of my thumb, located in a glass cabinet.
