Photopath - Victor Burgin (1967-69)

'Photographs of the floor on which the work was to be installed in the exhibition context were enlarged to the extent that they exactly matched the scale of the floor itself. These photographs were then laid out directly on the floor of the exhibition room, so that they covered the object that they simultaneously presented.'

  1. So... He took pics of the floor then laid them on the floor in the same orientation as the pics he took? That seems like lazy art. Its very uninspired and safe art.
